The `!Heltec WiFi LoRa 32 V4`!, more commonly known as the `!Heltec V4`!, is a development board based around the ESP32-S3 microcontroller and the SX1262 LoRa transceiver. It features a 505 mW increase in output power over its predecessor, the `F0af`_`[Heltec V3`:/page/wiki.mu`path=Heltec_V3]`_`f, along with additional memory and a solar panel connector.

>>Models

There are two models of the Heltec V4. The `*HTIT-WB32LAF`* is the original model and features the ESP32-S3R2 microcontroller with 2 MB of PSRAM. The newer `*HTIT-WBR8H`* features the ESP32-S3R8 microcontroller with 8 MB of PSRAM. This newer model is also known as the Heltec V4-R8, and was likely introduced due to the ESP32-S3R2 becoming end-of-life.
